Who we are

About GrillGuide

A buying-guide site for people who'd rather cook than wade through marketing copy.

GrillGuide exists to answer one question well: which grill or smoker should I actually buy? The grilling market is full of near-identical products, inflated spec sheets, and reviews that read like ad copy. We cut through it with plain-language recommendations grounded in real specifications and real-world trade-offs.

How we choose what to recommend

We research products against manufacturer specifications, established performance characteristics, and the consensus of experienced grillers and credible hands-on testing. We weigh build quality, cooking performance, value, and how well each product fits a specific use case rather than chasing headline numbers. When a product is best for beginners, we say so; when something is overkill for most people, we say that too.

Our promise on honesty

We never invent reviews, testimonials, ratings, or data. We don't claim to have personally tested every product in a lab. Where we describe a product, we're synthesizing publicly available specifications and the broad consensus about how it performs. If we're uncertain, we tell you. Specs and prices change, so we always point you to the live retailer listing to confirm current details before you buy.

How we stay free

GrillGuide is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This never changes which products we recommend, and it never raises your price. It simply lets us keep the guides free and updated.
